Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Dexta (dexta.art and www.dexta.art), an AI logo-motion studio that turns uploaded logos into vector-native Lottie motion. Dexta is not an AI video generator. Paid billing is processed by Paddle as merchant of record.

1. Agreement

By creating an account, continuing as a guest, uploading a logo, spending credits, or purchasing Pro, you agree to these Terms of service, the Privacy policy, and the Refund policy.

We operate the service as Dexta at dexta.art. These pages do not name a separate registered legal entity because one is not published in this product. Payment for Pro is charged by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record for those purchases.

If you use Dexta for a studio, client, or employer, you confirm you are allowed to bind that organization and to upload the logos you submit.

2. The service

Dexta is a motion-identity studio for designers. You upload an SVG, PNG, or JPEG logo. SVG is sanitized into locked vector geometry. PNG and JPEG stay original pixels and are animated as an image plate on a user-selected video ratio. Dexta then generates a structured MotionSpec, runs quality checks, and renders editable Lottie (and related export formats) from that spec.

Dexta does not generate AI video of your logo. Logo path geometry and brand colors are not sent through a diffusion model to invent replacement artwork. Motion is produced by a deterministic TypeScript renderer from structured animation data.

  • SVG uploads are sanitized and parsed locally into a locked geometry source.
  • PNG and JPEG uploads stay original pixels. Dexta never traces them into replacement SVG paths or invents a background.
  • Language models reached through OpenRouter receive structure summaries (layer IDs, names, palette, canvas size) and your written direction—not a request to redraw or replace the mark.
  • Preview and export come from MotionSpec → Lottie rendering in TypeScript. There is no LLM in the render path.

3. Accounts and access

Authentication is provided by Better Auth. You may sign in with email and password, optional Google OAuth when that provider is configured, or a phone number stored as a hashed credential. Guest workspaces are allowed and can later be linked to a full account.

Phone sign-in is not SMS-verified. Guest and phone-only workspaces can generate, but cannot own a paid Pro subscription until you verify an email-based account.

You are responsible for your credentials, for activity under your account, and for keeping a recovery email current. MCP personal tokens created in workspace settings act as the workspace for listing projects and iterating Ideas — store them like passwords and revoke them if leaked. Dexta sends verification mail from noreply@dexta.art when email delivery is configured.

4. Your logos and output

You retain whatever rights you already have in logos, brand assets, and written prompts you upload. You grant Dexta a limited license to host, process, render, and display that material solely to operate the service for you—including storage, vectorization, brand analysis, motion-spec generation, QA, preview, and export.

Free-plan clips that finish generating are listed on the public Library. Pro can keep designs off the Library, then share a clip only when you choose. Publishing grants Dexta a license to show that clip, its prompt, and your first name on the Library. Guest workspaces stay private. Do not upload client logos on Free if they must stay unpublished. Pro can unpublish; Dexta can also remove a listing from the Library while leaving the clip in the maker’s studio. Cached copies may remain briefly.

You represent that you have the right to upload each logo (your own mark, a client mark you are authorized to animate, or other lawful permission). Do not upload artwork you are not allowed to process.

Subject to these terms and your plan limits, you own the MotionSpec and export files Dexta produces for your project. Free-plan exports may include a Dexta watermark and are not licensed for unrestricted commercial distribution. Pro exports are watermark-free and intended for commercial production use of your own (or your client’s) identity.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Dexta to:

  • Upload logos or other files you do not have rights to process.
  • Attempt to extract, scrape, or reverse-engineer other users’ assets, the renderer, or the service.
  • Circumvent credits, watermarks, export caps, rate limits, or billing, including by creating extra free or guest accounts to reset starter credits.
  • Interfere with security, abuse APIs, or overload the studio.
  • Share MCP tokens, or use another person’s token. An MCP token acts as the workspace for listing projects and iterating Ideas.
  • Generate or export motion for unlawful, deceptive, or infringing impersonation.

6. Credits, plans, and billing

Dexta is credit-metered. Credits are reserved when a job starts and are consumed when the job succeeds. Credits reserved for a failed or cancelled job are returned.

Starter credits are granted once per device. Additional guest workspaces or free accounts on the same device do not receive another allotment. After those credits are used, generation requires Pro or remaining credits on the original account.

Pro is billed as a subscription through Paddle checkout. Paddle is the merchant of record: it charges your payment method, issues receipts, collects applicable taxes, and hosts the customer portal used to update payment details, pause, or cancel. Dexta records entitlements and the credit ledger after signed Paddle webhooks—not before.

Canceling Pro stops future renewal. Access and unused Pro credits follow the remaining paid period until it ends, unless a payment is refunded (see the Refund policy). Consumed credits are not restored as cash.

Current plans

  • Free — $0. 30 starter credits and 1 watermarked export per month.
  • Pro — $29 per month. 500 credits per month, no watermark, commercial export of supported formats.
  • Studio and Agency are described as coming later and are not sold under these terms until they are offered for purchase.

Typical credit costs

  • Prompt-to-motion generation (one QA-gated I2V clip): 25 credits, charged after the clip passes.
  • Continue the same clip: 25 credits.
  • MCP personal tokens: list projects and iterate Ideas from Cursor or Claude. Tokens are created in workspace settings. Generate is not available over MCP.
  • Timing or direction refine: 3 credits.
  • Export: Lottie 1 credit, SVG 1 credit, GIF 2 credits, MP4 3 credits.

7. Watermarks and export formats

Free exports may include a small Dexta watermark and are capped at three successful exports per month. Removing the watermark or exceeding that cap requires Pro.

Available formats currently include structured Lottie JSON, animated SVG, GIF, and MP4 (including alpha where the export pipeline supports it). Format availability can change as workers and codecs are enabled. Export always starts from the same validated vector source and MotionSpec—not from generated video of the logo.

8. Third-party processors

AI calls are made only through OpenRouter. Dexta does not call OpenAI, Anthropic, or Recraft SDKs directly. OpenRouter may route work to language models for brand analysis, MotionSpec generation, and QA critique. Raster uploads are not sent for vector tracing.

Do not upload confidential marks if you cannot accept that processing. See the Privacy policy for what is stored and what is sent to processors.

Checkout, invoices, tax, and subscription state for Pro are handled by Paddle. Object files are stored in private S3-compatible storage.

9. Quality, previews, and availability

Every shipped generation is supposed to pass automated QA before it is shown. QA can still reject a run; in that case reserved credits are returned and no direction is delivered.

The studio is provided as-is. Models and hosting can fail, lag, or change. We do not guarantee a particular aesthetic outcome, that a logo will animate well, or uninterrupted uptime.

10. Disclaimers

Except where the law says otherwise, Dexta is provided without warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-assisted motion direction can be imperfect. You remain responsible for reviewing exports before client or public use.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Dexta and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, or business interruption.

Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid for Pro through Paddle in the three months before the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars. Paddle’s own terms may also apply to the payment itself.

12. Suspension, deletion, and termination

You may stop using Dexta at any time. You may delete your workspace from billing settings after any active subscription is cancelled in the Paddle portal. Deletion removes projects, generations, export artifacts, credits, and the authentication account.

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, unpaid invoices, legal risk, or to protect the service. If Pro is refunded, the workspace returns to the Free plan as described in the Refund policy.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material billing changes will be reflected on this page and, where required, in Paddle checkout.
